I ain’t changed, baby

I ain’t the one

Who’s gone and changed.

I stayed exactly

The same.

I still believe in absolute

And rue the falsehoods of fakery.

It ain’t me

Who’s gone and undone

The agreement we beautifully had,

Despite all good and sad.

With the passage of time

Our rhyme has baddened,

And what gladdened our hearts fine

Is no longer the key

To our shared longevity.

So all that is left

Is the cleft of lost love:

No longer shining from above.

No longer shining at all.
