(Circles) {to be broken} [not squared]

He spent a lifetime squaring

circles

when all he’d need

have done

was break them.

 

And now it came

the time

it was

to break these circles

he’d

tried so hard

to square

without the success

he’d hoped and dearly

striven

for

all this time:

equanimity across

the

bored and pissed off

no longer

the

goal nor due ob-

jective

to be

pur-

sued outwith the

law of clawed-

up jungle

and casual destroying

of otherly

ego,

of once brotherly

friend.
