Faded memories

My memories don’t 

fade, unfortunately: they

remain like

books no one cherishes.

Except I do.

And so I love in a zoo of my

own making

and

undoing.

If only I could

forget.

It’s clear you can.

And I wish I knew your secret-

e for remaining purely

ignor-

ant of the droning norma-

lit-

y of life.

I have lost and you 

have won,

and so now

we shall always be

two for tea and

never 

again

one for ten.

  1. Sometimes…not all times, we feel others silence speak in ways which are painful or cruel. The best memories are the ones we keep close to our hearts – like a jar full of love notes. Why would we keep anything less worthy?
